|Foundation||March, 1999: "Japanese Class Preparatory Committee" was set up
at IIN (Ibaraki Intercultural Network) of IFAI (International Friendship
Association of Ibaraki), later separated from IIN.
May, 2002: "Practical Japanese Class" was established as one of the subordinate organizations of IFAI.
|Aim||We aim to promote international exchange by helping foreign residents living in local communities learn practical Japanese through volunteer activities.|

|Activities||（１）Support of Japanese language study
・The Japanese classes are held at Ibaraki City Hall, South Building 8F every Thursday
（２）Various study sessions for supporters
・We organize a short course for new supporters on the 1st Friday of each month and
study meetings on the 4th Thursday & Friday of each month.
（３）Promotion of cross-cultural exchange
・We organize various events such as cooking or excursion to promote relationship
with foreign residents.
・We join international programs at elementary schools or junior high schools to help
children learn foreign culture.
・We join and support various events organized by IFAI.
